GodSquad Weekly Ministry Tip

April 2, 2009

Somehow when April hits, it seems to spell the beginning of the end of the Spring semester/term. We want to end well in the spring but also start well in the fall.

Ending Well

  1. We encourage you to continue challenging any new students to take on leadership for the fall. Ministry is about multiplying disciples and this requires that we are training and grooming the next leaders to help and eventually take over. You may have already started this process but you want them in place soon.
  2. Consider one more big evangelistic event this month if your semester ends in May. Try two more big evangelistic events if your term ends in June. Never stop doing evangelism. Pray for opportunities to also personally share your faith once a week.
  3. Continue with solid weekly meetings/Bible studies.
  4. Put a big end of the year party on the calendar so you can celebrate what God has done this year.
  5. There are openings for Summer Projects. It's not too late. Go to

Start Well

  1. Carefully go through planning for your fall semester. You may already be familiar with some of these ideas as we've referred to them recently. Go to these sites and hit the ground running in the fall: http://godsquad.com/pdfs/campusplan_sixwks.pdf http://godsquad.com/pdfs/9principles.pdf http://godsquad.com/leading/sixwkpln.htm http://godsquad.com/leading/essentials.htm
  2. Plan a leadership time where you can look at these links together and begin specifically planning for the fall. Be intentional and plan ahead. The most important weeks in your entire year are the first two weeks of classes in the fall.
  3. Stay in touch with your students this summer via Facebook/email/text messaging/cell phone or ...

As an idea: print out the links in this weekly tip and use them as you lead your student leaders in planning for the fall semester and finishing strong this semester.
