Soularium, Getting to the Soul of Things
One of the excellent tools that has been thoroughly tested and proven to be an effective evangelistic tool is called Soularium. What makes Soularium so effective is that it allows you to easily get into conversations with people, which can easily turn into sharing the gospel message. Here's how it works in a nutshell: After you introduce yourself and tell them you're with Campus Crusade, ask them if they would look over the 50 photo's that are a part of the packet. Two sample questions you might ask the person are "which three photo's represents your life right now?" Discuss for 5-10 minutes. Then ask "What three photo's represents your view of God right now?" You continue to ask them "tell me more?", or "what else?" This draws them out even more.
This gets the person talking and sharing some of their deepest insights and gets them thinking. From there you make a connection to one of the issues in their life or their view of God as you share the "Knowing God Personally" booklet. A relationship with God is what everyone needs. It's truly a great tool.
Two things to keep in mind. First, it does take some training. Ask your staff coach for more help on how to use it. Second, there is a small price for the packet. This could help to change how you do evangelism. Very cool.
