In God's Power "And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." 1 Corinthians 2:3-5 As you work to reach your campus with the gospel message, disciple people, and build relationships, know that we are in working in God's power not in our own efforts. God uses regular people like you and me to show forth the power of God to the world. This week as you think about your semester, we want you to consider trying a brand new Bible study series by the president of Campus Crusade for Christ, Steve Douglass. The series is called Essentials of Spiritual Growth and Multiplication or "Essentials". There are 24 studies there that are very easy to prepare, easy to teach, highly interactive and has a clear application for each study. Check it out. Be sure to read the letter by Steve Douglass and the "Additional Thoughts" first. Continue with Surveys if this is your first or second week of classes Be sure that everyone on campus knows that you're there and when your meetings are - advertise, advertise and advertise. Hang your posters and flyers everywhere. Be sure to follow up on everyone who expressed a positive interest in the surveys as soon as possible. Email or call them and invite them to your meeting. Or personally meet with them to go over the gospel message and/or follow-up series. Don't let them slip by. As mentioned last week, have sharp and fun weekly meetings. Set the pace and tone for the meetings the rest of the semester. Help people want to come back, grow in their faith, and connect with their friends.
