Scriptural Prayer : evangelism
(one of five)

  • Open the door of opportunity for _____ to share Christ with others.  Colossians 4:3-6:  And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.  Pray that I may proclaim it with clearly, as I should.  Be wise in the way that you act toward outsiders: make the most of every opportunity.   Let your conversations be always full of grace, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

  • _____ would share their faith with boldness.  Ephesians 6:19:  Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words would be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.  Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

  • _____ would be faithful to their ministry always.  2 Timothy 4:2,5:  Preach the Word: be prepared in season and out of season: correct, rebuke, and encourage- with great patience and careful instruction.  But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and discharge all the duties of your ministry.

  • _____ would participate in Christ's mission.  Luke 19:10:  For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

Discipleship

  • _____ would invest his/her life in others.  1 Thessalonians 2:7:  As apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you but we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her children.  We loved you so much that we were delighted to share not only the gospel but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.  For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of the God who calls you into His kingdom and glory.

  • _____ would endure as he/she invests in others lives.  2 Timothy 2:2:  You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who are also qualified to teach others.  Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

  • _____ would trust in God.  Jeremiah 17:7-8:  But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.  He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes: it leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
