What's a leader?
I. Is your picture of a leader someone who:
- Motivates others to follow.
- Is a visionary.
- Effectively explains ideas, concepts
and vision to others.
- Can take initiative.
- Has tenacity.
- Has integrity.
- Has a caring heart.
- Is a strong person.
- Is respected by his peers.
II. What's influenced you to become a leader?
- Someone modeled the Christian life
for you.
- Someone believed in you.
- Someone was your mentor.
- You saw the need to lead.
- You realized you needed to commit to
something.
- Reading and learning about the lives
of other leaders.
- Someone challenged you to be a leader.
- You experienced confidence.
III. How can we help our students become leaders?
- Help them discover and develop their
spiritual gifts.
- Train them to build others lives.
- Help them develop personally.
- Affirm them in the growth process.
- Teach them how to delegate.
- Help them think with from a biblical
perspective.
- Model the principles of grace,
truth and time in your life.
