Leading
a movement
Servant Team Challenge
When you become a member of the servant
team you'll go deeper into the college ministry. It
involves devoting extra hours to the movement at your
campus. You're part of a core group of people who take
leadership and ownership of different parts of the ministry.
We firmly believe that this year will be one of your
most challenging and rewarding years!
We also believe we will have a significant impact this
next year as we become Christ-like servant leaders.
We read in Philippians 2:1-4:
"If therefore there is any encouragement in Christ,
if there is any consolation of love, If there is any
fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining
the same love united in spirit, intent on one purpose.
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with
humility of mind let each of you regard one another
as more important than himself; do not merely look out
for your own self interest, but also for the interest
of others."
Also,
in Colossians 3:12-17 the Scripture says:
"Therefore as God's chosen people, holy and dearly
loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness,
humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other
and forgive whatever grievances you might have against
one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over
all these things put on love, which binds them all together
with perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in
your hearts, since as members of one body you were called
to peace. Let the word or Christ dwell in you richly
as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom,
and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with
gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do
whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the
Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through
Him."
To meet the challenge,
we promise to:
- Continue growing in our walk with God.
- Have forbearance towards one another.
- Always think the best of one another,
even when someone else says different.
- Directly communicate to each other.
- Humble ourselves, thinking of the Glory
of God.
- Consider what's best for the whole
movement instead of our own interests.
