Leading
a movement
Evaluating the Direction
of My Movement
Use this guide to prepare for vision, skills and leadership
meetings or for your own personal planning time.
The Mission: turn lost students into Christ-centered
laborers
- What passages remind us of our mission?
- How can we keep the mission the main
thing?
- How can we help our students own the
mission?
- By casting a vision (painting a picture
of God's heart for your campus) you're giving others
the chance to join you and reach your campus. Cast
this vision in your cell group.
Crucial Elements of a Small Group
(Leading a Small Group, pp. 18-21) 1.
Quality Biblical Content
- Is the focus on the WORD?
2. Community
- Are the members becoming a team? Are
members taking ownership of the group?
3. Self-Discovered Learning
- Observing, interacting, studying and
processing the content together.
4. Progressive Life-change
- Is application taking place outside
of the group? Are you seeing life changes?
5. Outward Impact
- Is the group gradually changing their
focus from merely receiving to receiving and giving?
Is there an outlet for what they're learning?
Questions to ask about your movement:
- Are Campus Crusade's characteristics
clearly evident on our campus?
- Are student's making decisions to receive
Christ?
- Are those students becoming assimilated
into our movement?
- Do our students have a heart for the
lost and the world?
- Are the leaders (including you) leading
from an overflow of their walks with Christ?
- Are we trusting God to do it? Are we
praying?
These questions are designed to stimulate your thinking
and keep you moving in the right direction. They're
not meant for finding fault with you or your movement.
